Request for Public Comments

The Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG) is requesting written comments on the District of Columbia’s FY24 application for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program – State Solicitation. OVSJG is proposing to provide sub-grant awards for two of the purpose areas allowed under the Byrne JAG solicitation. The priorities for the District are:

Community Corrections (specifically for reentry services)

Written comments must be submitted by email to [email protected] with subject reference “BJAG FY24 Comments”.

DC Victim Hotline

The DC Victim Hotline is available for all crime victims in the District of Columbia. The hotline number is 844-4-HELP-DC (844-443-5732) and is operational 24/7. The hotline victim assistance staff provides basic crisis-intervention support and helps callers access the complete continuum of care for crime victims, including relevant and appropriate resources based on the needs of the caller.
