Ayuda’s Language Access Program will be holding another session of Breaking Silence: Interpreting for Victim Services interpreter training this September 2022!

About the Breaking Silence training:

Breaking Silence is a free, 4-day hybrid training course during which interpreters gain the skills necessary to work directly with crime victims. Interpreters who have taken this training are excellent candidates to later apply to accept work from Ayuda’s Victim Services Interpreter Bank.

The Breaking Silence training is not for individuals who are just beginning their training as interpreters. You need some level of experience and existing training in order to complete and contribute to this training course. The subject matter contained in the Breaking Silence training is complex and sensitive, necessitating qualified and experienced professional interpreters.

The training will take place via Zoom on September 16th through 17th and September 23rd through 24th from 10 am to 2 pm all four days. This is a hybrid training course. Attendees will be required to complete self-paced work prior to each live session.
